Supporting kids to speak up for themselves, specially at an early age, sets the foundation for them to advocate for themselves. 👦👧

Speaking up is a skill that they will need in future relationships and friendships, work, and in the community. 🗣️

Speaking up is how we solve problems, fix injustice, and create change in the world. 🌎

But in a world where children are often shushed, it can be challenging to support our little ones to speak up for themselves. 😞

Thanks to one of our favorite neighbors, children are now able to discover that there are so many different ways to speak up and make their voices heard. 📢

Award-winning children’s author, Miranda Paul, joins our Jonathan Masiulionis for Episode #83 of The Empowered Publicity Children’s Books Spotlight Series to share the release of her new children’s book, Speak Up (published by HMH Kids), how speaking up and self-advocating impacts all parts of a child’s life, the importance of listening to your little one respectfully, simple strategies to teach your little one to learn to speak up for themselves, effective ways to be a role model for your child amid the current climate, plus much more. 🙏🏻

We encourage all of you, our fellow neighbors, to purchase your copy of Speak Up, now available on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2VVBWlI. 📖
